SUBCONTRACTOR ADVOCACY
ASA works at both the Federal and State levels to make the changes necessary to protect subcontractor rights with regard to prompt pay, fair procurement policies, harmful indemnity clauses, retention practices, egregious and abusive contract terms, OSHA rules and economic and tax rules, just to name a few.
 

ASA Metro Washington 

  • Represents the concerns and interests of construction subcontractors and suppliers in the Washington DC Metropolitan area through business education and government advocacy.

  • Is the only construction association that concentrates exclusively on business issues affecting all subcontractors and specialty trade contractors, union and non-union, from virtually every trade specialty.

  • Advocates for its members in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia.

ALLIANCE FOR CONSTRUCTION EXCELLENCE (ACE)ASA Metro Washington is a member of the Alliance for Construction Excellence (ACE). ACE is a coalition of premier construction specialty contractor associations, allied to create awareness of the value of quality construction. ACE represents subcontracting firms that employ highly skilled technicians for field construction work, and provide those employees with high-value wages, family medical card, retirement plans, and continuing education through workforce development and apprentice training programs.
